Students will need to have transferred the .tns file to their handheld prior to the start of the activity. They will move the triangle of the unit circle to find the angle measures listed in the table on the student worksheet. Students will record the values and then answer questions about the patterns in the results.
Students are given the definitions of sine, cosine, and tangent and how they relate to the unit circle. Then, students are asked to use the unit circle to find the values of the functions at various angle measures to find patterns for each function.
Students will also explore secant, cosecant, and cotangent by finding the reciprocals of the earlier values.
